Lien Verbauwhede Koglin

Ms. Verbauwhede Koglin is a knowledge and technology transfer expert at the Technology Transfer Section of the WIPO. She is passionate about research and innovation management viewing it as a powerful mechanism to make a positive impact in the world. Lien has more than 20 years of experience at WIPO supporting projects, initiatives and networks for IP management and research commercialization in a university environment. Her work focuses on benchmarking and providing international good practices on IP issues related to institutional IP policies, incentives for knowledge transfer, research collaborations, research and innovation contracts, commercialization and entrepreneurship in a global context. Ms. Verbauwhede Koglin also provides public policy research and analysis related to innovation ecosystem building, and develops policy advocacy strategies.
Before joining WIPO, Ms. Verbauwhede Koglin worked as an associate Attorney at the Linklaters lawyers firm in Brussels (Belgium), the Lalive & Partners lawyers firm in Geneva (Switzerland), and the legal department at Hewlett Packard Belgium S.A., Brussels (Belgium).
